I’m just curious to know why this doesn’t happen often and what prevents it. Usually the prison yard where the inmates have recreation has no roof and they are only surrounded by a fence. I wanted to what exactly prevents this from happening; since it doesn’t happen to often.

I’m just curious. Do inmates have the right to use lethal force to defend themselves if threatened with lethal force by other inmates? Do they even have the right to fight back in self defense?

I need to do a research paper on contagious diseases in jail and prison. Do they keep the inmates separate from other inmates, do they give them medication?
Diseases such as HIV, AIDS, TB, SARS or MSRA.
Any information would help out a lot. Thank you in advance.

I was just wondering where this comes from and if it is true?

What are some reasons why other inmates don’t want to be around inmates like Ted Bundy who was secluded?

Are people like that threats to the inmates or threats from the inmates; or both?

Leslie asked:

I need to know a close percentage of inmates that actually change to good after prison. Also if you have any other facts that would be great. Thanks in advance.
I did try, why do you think I’m asking here?

Thanks to the first answer, but I need a percentage.

James asked:

Why do we keep inmates who are serving life in jail still? Instead of spending tax money on keeping them alive, can’t we just gas to their death? Save money and more space in prison for short term inmates?
I guess America is F*cked. You get raped, killed, robbed by inmates and you the tax payer pay for it all.
